The Excretory System

The excretory or urinary system consists of the kidneys, bladder and the ureter and urethra tubules. The kidneys correlate with the brazen laver in the tabernacle pattern. The blood was washed off the sacrificial animals in the laver before the parts were reassembled on the altar of sin sacrifice. The kidneys perform a similar function of washing or purifying the blood. The 2 kidneys are separated in the body, but we have brought them together to illustrate the correlation with the brazen laver. The bladder lines up with the foot or base of the laver. When washing the sacrificial animals, small stones in their hoofs would often become dislodged and fall into the laver, obstructing the spigot. Similarly, kidney stones can obstruct the urinary passageway. The migratory pattern of the children of Israel passed through the Red Sea, which lines up with the water in the laver which turned red with blood from the sacrifices. This washing of the sacrifices signifies the washing of our souls by the “washing of regeneration by the Word.”
