The Endocrine System

The endocrine system consists of ductless glands such as the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, pineal and hypothalamus. They control various body activities and homeostasis by secreting hormones into the bloodstream to affect target organs. The pituitary gland, referred to as the master gland, has 2 lobes; one lobe secretes 3 hormones and the other 7 hormones. This gland correlates with the 2 tables of the covenant placed in the ark of the covenant which had 3 laws written on one tablet and 7 on the other. This showed the three-fold supernal (divine) nature of Yahweh manifesting in the 7 days of creation. The pituitary governs many functions in the body, just as the law written on tables of stone governed Israel. The thyroid is located in the neck region and secretes thyroxin, which contains iodine, which is purple in color. This lines up with the veil which separates the Most Holy Place from the Holy Place in the tabernacle. The veil was blue, purple and scarlet (red). The neck contains the greatest concentration of veins (blue) and arteries (red) along with the thyroid (purple). The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys (*as Israel was baptized in the cloud [adrenal] and in the sea [kidney). The adrenals secrete adrenaline, which produces a “quickening” or “fright or flight response.” This correlates with the Holy anointing oil in the tabernacle which typifies the quickening of the Holy Spirit. The pineal gland has been referred to as the “third eye” and its function and operation is still not fully understood. This correlates with Yahweh as the All-seeing eye (Prov. 15:3) in the cloud above the mercy seat. All the endocrine glands work together with the nervous system to control the functions of the human body, just as the body of Israel was controlled or led by the Mosaic Law.

"Do You Not Know That Your Body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in You, Whom You Have Received From God?" - 1 Corinthians 6:19
